Heavy Duty Flannel Shirts - Maintain Your Indie in the Winter!

heavy duty flannel shirt
There comes a time in a man's life when your typical plaid indie flannel doesn't cut it. It's in these instances when you have to bring out the king of all flannels, the heavy duty flannel shirt.

Indie flannel shirtss come in several grades. You have your thin and fashionable plaid, the likes of which typically come from Urban Outfitters. Then you have your thriftshop flannel, which may not fit the way you want it, but hey, it's cheap! Then you've got your heavy duty, "I'm a lumberjack and I'm proud!" flannel. It's these shirts that separate the indie men from the indie boys.

Heavy weight flannel shirts are characterized by their thick fabric and general lumberjack appearance. But don't worry, they are still COMPLETELY indie. As an added benefit, you can maintain your indie persona in the winter months! Nothing better than breaking out your heavy weight flannel on a brisk November day and saying "Yeah, I'm indie."

For great advice on how to accessorize and compliment your indie flannel shirts, I recommend reading my How to be Indie guide!
